Probability and Statistics Cookbook

Matthias Vallentin has put together an awesome summary of various topics in probability and statistics:

The cookbook contains a succinct representation of various topics in probability theory and statistics. It provides a comprehensive reference reduced to the mathematical essence, rather than aiming for elaborate explanations.

Just as a teaser, here’s how it looks:

Probability and Statistics cookbook

✚ I’ve studied stats and probability theory for 3 years in college. Unfortunately those courses were so bad and there was so little interest from both professors and also from us, the students, as we couldn’t see anything applied. I wish someone would have thrown some data at us and asked us to do something with it. What we got instead was hundreds and hundreds of pages filled with theory that felt like we’d never have to touch again.
