Big Data and the Semantic Web

My answer in brief is: big data’s going to give the semantic web the massive amounts of metadata it needs to really get traction.

There are others that think this will work the other way, the web providing the metadata.

I think those working with Big Data should use the semantic web principles and improve them where is needed. With this knowledge and connecting BigData with the web both will improve over time and the results we’ll get back will become better.
