NoSQL Market to Reach $1.8bn by 2015

Relational database market is estimated at $20-$30bn/year:

According to Market Research Media’s latest report the Database Management System (DBMS) market is entering a new era of hybrid ecosystem where relational and non-relational database technologies will converge to offer the best of two worlds. The global NoSQL market is forecast to generate $5.6 Billion revenues over the period 2011 – 2015, at a very robust growth rate of 32%.

The report is ☞ available here for $3950, so no, I haven’t read it. But this topic came up during the NOSQL evening in Palo Alto — see my notes from the NoSQL event for more details.
