Even if Hadoop 1.0.0 was released on Dec.29th, it was only today that Apache Foundation published an official announcement.

Media followed suit. Here are the titles that IDG News Service publishes[1]: “Hadoop finally ready for production duty” and “Hadoop solidified for production duty”.

It’s so great to learn that a tool that have been running for years on thousands of machines is finally production-ready.
